Bathroom Storage Cabinets
Not having enough bathroom storage cabinets in the bathroom is a common problem for many homeowners, especially in older homes where the bathroom are typically on the small size. A lot of the time the only bathroom storage cabinet is the cupboards under the vanity top,
A clutter-free organized bathroom looks neat and clean, so how can you achieve this.
The first thing to do is to have a good clean out of your bathroom, remove everything from the medicine cabinet, bathroom vanity, vanity top and shelves and do not forget all the children’s bath toys etc.
Now put back only things you use frequently or really need in a place in your bathroom where you can access them easily. You should be left with a pile of unnecessary items which should be thrown out or stored somewhere else
You may find once you have done this that you now have enough bathroom storage cabinets. So what can you do if you still do not have enough bathroom storage cabinets?
There are lots of thing you can do, simple things like if you have drawers use drawer dividers, clear plastic boxes, bins or clear cosmetic bags to store all your trinkets in or if the drawer is big enough you could store your tall bottles of hairspray or toothpaste instead.
Install a towel rail? This can be attached to any wall space or on the inside of the door and some come with small shelves on top to keep fresh colorful towels which can look beautiful. If you do not have room for this you should think about installing decorative hooks on the back of the door or near the sink to hang your towel or robe on.
Putting up a shelf will create more bathroom storage space but you could possible add two or three shelves, going up and using wasted space. A slim built tower is another great way to store items while not taking up much floor space. Towers are designed to be tall and thin but they are also functional. If you do not want open shelves you could choose a tall cabinet with selves that have doors or store your personal belongings in baskets on the open shelves
If you are doing a major renovation or remodels think about is the bathroom set out right, perhaps the toilet, vanity, and tub are simply too large for the space and if you put in a smaller ones or rearrange the ones you may create room to add more bathroom storage cabinets.
